Year 2020!Pandemic hit the entire world creating havoc in our lives. First Lockdown has just ended. People and places have adopted the new normal. Everyone is starved to travel. Here comes one of those weekends when my daughter just couldn’t take it anymore and we decided to take a day trip to this beautiful place called Fraser’s Hill.

Fraser Hill was named after Louis James Fraser, a Scottish trader and accountant.

Fraser’s Hill is about 100kms from Kuala Lumpur around 2 hours of drive. It is Situated in the mountains and surrounded by dense rainforest also popular for its birdlife.

Locally known(in Bahasa) as Bukit Fraser is one of the hill stations in Malaysia. Temperature usually range between 22 – 28°C during the day and 16°C to 20°C at night.

Hungry?

Isn’t that the most important question that pops up especially when you are travelling with kids. Our hunt for food began when we reached Fraser’s Hill. We ate lunch at Scotts and evening Tea at Ye Olde Smokehouse. Ye Olde smokehouse has a charm of English countryside and architecture is beautiful. Though place needs a little maintenance. The tea and scrumptious cakes are must try.
